What is the best way to make my hot sauce zlio store successful?

Posted by admin
General Vega asked:

I recently started a store called The Hot Sauce Collector at http://hotsauce.zlio.com — I’ve been collecting hot sauce for five years and am quite passionate about hot sauce and fiery foods. This store seemed like a great entrepreneurial experiment in web stores, with the potential to build highly-targetted sites focused on particular products and product genres. My thesis was that a focused site could outcompete broader, larger sites in depth and quality of coverage. Any tips on how I could make The Hot Sauce Collector a better site for my customers would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would say sell a few bottles on ebay or yahoo auctions, etc, to get your name out there. Do it to as advertisting for your primary purpose and profit as a secondary goal. Selling a few bottles below cost on an auction site could pay off if you get people to visit your site and if they refer their friends.

Or work out a deal local spicy restraunts where they have your bottles with your company logo (and web address) on the bottles.

Identify any restraunt trade magazines or journals that may be out there and see how much it costs to get an article written about you, or how much the advertising rates are

Have you thought about selling to caterers and small boutiques. Once I get mine started lets talk….I am starting a boutique where EVERYTHING I sell is by other entreprenuers Entres-helping-Entres. Plus my own line of jewelry and whatnots…Anywho, like I said catering companies and small gourmet shops, boutiques.
